Still Standing

Still Standing is my first exploration into liminal space. The word liminality comes from the ancient Greek limen, meaning threshold. Natures awesome fury forced Moore, Oklahoma across a threshold.

The spaces represented by these images are forever changed as are the people who occupy them. In them, we see physical damage. But it is the physical manifestations of the unseeable that make the images so incongruously beautiful. Woven into the fabric of these spaces are love, hope, humor, kindness, strength, power, determination…the beautiful energy.
